I'm back! NCCU has me so busy I haven't even had time to sit back, unwind, and blog. Even now my free time is still tight. This is nothing like high school, professors give you a LOT of work...much more than highschool! It's all good, I'll make it. So...what's new? How are you all? Let's see...our football team has still failed to win a game, but I have faith. I haven't been to a volleyball game yet, and basketball...long story! Basketball didn't exactly work out the way I had planned it to work. Before tryouts began I was already getting behind in my classes but I thought I could manage. Boy was I wrong! Basketball work outs were twice a day, the first being at 6am. The work outs were KILLERS, every morning I had trouble just walking back to my door and even more trouble getting myself to go to class exhausted. Unfortunately that routine didn't last long for me, with practices twice a day I began getting further behind in more than 1 class. I was stuck with a decision to make... I've always been taught academics come first, and paying this tuition bill I don't have time to play around. Well, I decided to hang it up for this year until I get everything straight. It was a lot for a freshman from out of state to handle, especially with the rigorous schedule I have. But all hope isn't lost yet, I love basketball too much to let my career end with me quitting. Next season, I'll be prepared for the all the responsibilities. Besides that, all is well. I still don't miss home but home misses me. And for some reason all of my roommates can never get along at one time. This week, this one isn't talking to that one and vice versa. Luckily I've become pretty tight with one of my roommates and we have fun inviting people over and playing them on the Nintendo Wii, and making inside jokes only we understand. So during my time away from blogging I was pretty down about basketball and overwhelmed with school work but things are starting to pick up! I can't wait until Centennial Homecoming so I can see the step show and my favorite comedian, Kevin Hart. Oh yeah...Pretty Ricky is currently on our campus. I have no idea why, but they're in our caf AND it's chicken wednesday...I dare not go to lunch today...lines are long!!
