messing up
Sooo, i thought i had a grip on everything until this past week. I've been depriving myself of sleep and missing classes here and there. The nights seem to sprint bringing the day too early. Every class is a struggle to wake up for now, but once I'm up all is well. Friday morning I was sooo happy when I woke up, checked my email and discovered my english class was cancelled. I went back to sleep and ended up missing my 9am spanish class. Luckily my professor allowed me to make-up the quiz I missed, and I'm back on track! This week I have promised myself I will not miss any classes. It is now tuesday, and I haven't broken my promise. I've actually been getting a lot more done. Changing up my schedule and the way I do things has been the really helpful. I am now going to sleep at a decent hour and eating breakfast in the morning to help get me going. Napping after i am done with classes and sleeping in on the weekends is a definite must. I mean I have transformed these stiff beds into a plush get away. My bed holds six pillows, two comforters, and a fleece throw blanket making it my get away. Recently my suite has been furnished with tables, chairs, and couches and my suite mates and I couldn't be more pleased. We have turned this "dorm" into a "home." We hung curtains, layed down rugs, hung mirrors, added a tv, and put together accent peieces for our tables. People are shocked when they walk into our living room, and try to stay for longer than they are welcome. Well, thanks to some of the wild people on campus our visitation has been revoked. My suite mates and I are currently the only ones able to enjoy our home. Well, time to go study!

Getting in rhythm!
As I spend more time around this campus I find more and more perks! Over the weekend I found out the library is open super late and that we have a "to go" caf. I love the fact that students here get discounts and various surrounding fast food places. I'm quick to whip out my NCCU ID at Burger king to get that discount! Unfortunately the drastic changes in environment have gotten me sick! :( But all is well! I went home for the weekend and was ecstatic when I returned here. I missed being on campus, while being at home. Now that I'm back, I'm busier than ever! There are so many groups and organizations on campus I want to join and get involved in. I've been scrambling around to make sure I get my community service hours completed. 15 hours every semester isn't so bad after all, it keeps me active and involved on campus. I think I LOVE it here!
