I survived first semester! With being sick and then partying and all the extra things that come with being in college, I was a little worried about my grades. My grade point average was the worst it's ever been but that's okay. I made it through first semester and got out all my "messing up". While on winter break I took a lot of time to think about what I would do differently. I couldn't possibly end this semester with a 2.6, like the first. No way I would get accepted into the athletic training program next year with grades like that. I took some time to prioritize and I believe I have things in order now. I'm back to working out daily, which I had gotten away from and yes I still party a little bit. NCCU parties are too great to just give up on. I told myself I would only party on weekends and I wouldn't go out on Friday nights until my homework for the weekend was at least half done. Sundays are still reserved for cleaning and homework but I am also searching for a nearby church to attend. Well today at NCCU we had premium dinner night!!! I walk into the caf and smell seafood. Once in line, I discover that crab legs, fried scallops, steamed shrimp, mashed potatoes, and broccoli was being served. Oh how I love North Carolina Central University. I have friends at surrounding schools and they have yet to have dinner choices we have. The food was delicious, tasted like they had my grandmother and mother in the back seasoning and cooking the food. Speaking of mother and grandmother, I got a new tattoo. It's a rocky looking heart with angel wings and "Mommy" underneath. It hurt just as much as my first one that says "Grannie" but was well worth it. I now have six tattoos total. I guess you could say I'm addicted... I have ideas for more but I agreed not to get any more tattoos until I'm 20. That's almost TWO years away, oh man not sure I can wait that long. Check out the pictures of my tattoos. Well, that's all for now, it's time to start preparing for tomorrow...FOUR classes!
